What? It's Giveaway Time?

So I wrote a post about reading the other day (how I have gotten out the habit and how I was trying to jump back in) and it got me thinking about bookstores...I love bookstores.

Walking into a really good bookstore is a treat. I can get lost in a good one for hours. They make me feel almost, oh I don't know...collegiate. Weird, huh? Can't explain it really, I just get a notion to enroll in some classes, move into a dorm and go to a pep rally when I'm in one...

Anyway, most bookstores today are gift shops with a few aisles of books thrown in. But there are still a few good ones out there and so that brings me to...our Bookstore giveaway! Plus I'm giving away something I made...taking a risk here...you and me both...

so here's the giveaway...

(1) $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card

and...

(1) set of 6 beaded bookmarks

Here's what you need to do... leave a comment to the question, just one comment per person please (and if you leave a potty mouth comment a.k.a. leave a comment that is inappropriate, it'll get deleted--) and when time's up, I'll ask my math professor to equate the square root of...sorry, thought I was in the still in the bookstore...
I guess I'll just pick a number out of a hat...anyway...

The giveaway ends Sunday, July 19th at 5:00 p.m. Eastern
and the question you need to comment on?

"what is your favorite book?

(these questions just keep getting harder and harder!)

gotta go for now...the bonfire for the pep rally is starting soon, I really hope we beat State this year...

The Bible, of course!!! No that really is my favorite book! Reason is because it has every answer to any problem you have, it has the romance stories, the hardships, the mysteries and battles. Every book out there has nothing on my favorite book!

One of my favorite books beside the Bible is "The Notebook". I really enjoyed reading this book. I picked it up one day by chance at Emily Taber Library. I cried and cried while reading this book as my dear husband just laughed at me. I was upset with him for laughing at me and challenged him to read it. Well he did read it also, and he hates to read, and will just say that he cried "a little". Well it is one of my favorite books and if you get a chance pick it up and read it,(it is sooo different from the movie. It is so hard finding time now to read anything besides a school book so enjoy some leasure reading today.

As a Christian, I believe all of us would answer THE BIBLE is my favorite book! But beyond THE best book in the world, I loved "The Shack." Some would disagree with me, I know, but this little book amazed me. It reminded me of the constant presence of God in my life, it made me realize that what I fear the most in my life CAN be handled through Christ and reminded me that often my faith is not big enough. I absolutely loved this powerful little book and the story that William P. Young wove for the reader. If you get a chance, take a look at the outside cover and see if you think you'd be interested in it. I, for one, loved it!

I think I have a different favorite often. I guess my favorite other than the Bible right now is The Scarlet Letter. It shows so well the burden in life when sins are concealed and the freedom in life when sins are revealed. I could write quite a bit about it and actually I have a blog coming about it (that may be why it's on my brain!).

My favorite book is the Bible...but other than that, I have two favorites, The Shack, which touched my heart and life in so many indescribable ways and The Notebook, just an amazing love story. I love to read any book as long as it has a great story line.
