A Velvet Amphibian Stole My Heart

I have a secret love. Oh, I've had this love for many, many years. A love that has began before my marriage to my high school sweetheart. In fact, it's had a hold on me since childhood.

My decades-long obsession? Well that would be my love for all things Muppet.

Yes.
The Muppets.

A few hints that I may have issues...

I hear a banjo, I look for a frog.
I've watched the new movie 16 times.
I have a spanish version of "Rainbow Connection" on my Ipod.
I once googled "Kermit tattoos"
I suggested to my newly married daughter that "Beaker" might be a cute name someday.
I've been scouring Ebay for a Fozzie hat in my size.
I read Frank Oz's Wikipedia page during our staff meeting yesterday.
Twice.
I'm convinced my 18 year old son is a dead ringer for Jason Segel.
I have a Muppets station on Pandora.
I'm starting to envy Miss Piggy's wardrobe.
I currently own a John Denver/Muppets Christmas on a CD.
And one on cassette tape.

I can't seem to help it! I just love those furry, fabric covered, plastic-eyed creatures. Singing frogs? Dancing pigs? Flying Gonzos? How can I not love them?

I need to get out of the house.

I'm with you...my favorite Christmas movie, period, is the Muppet Christmas Carol. ;-)

Anyone who's ever seen your son and Jason Segel agrees with you. I was even on the other side of the world when I first saw Segel, and I said (out loud), "Hhheeeyyyy.... that looks like Hayden!"
