Summer Days ~ Our Destination Today? Farm Living Is The Life For Me!

Let's get out of the big city and head out into the great outdoors.

Last summer we went to a farm in New Jersey. It was a beautiful place with lots of fun things to do and we spent a wonderful afternoon there.

This is the farm.
Acres and acres of crops, fruit trees, even flowers to pick.

This is what it looks like when we farm.
A 5 gallon drywall bucket with one plant we've totally neglected.

But let's get back to the real farm...there were animals...

And a hayride that took you directly to the crop/fruit/flower you wanted to pick.

This is the family before we went picking...yes, before...not a good sign.

But we got it together (especially after I told them if they didn't get on the hayride, I would sing along with the minivan radio the entire ride back to the hotel...an hour and a half away) and a-pickin' we went.

Much better...

Anyway, we had a lot of different crops/produce/flowers too choose from...

We even had a stowaway...

We got a good haul...

And we even had time to get our picture taken...

There was something else we did while we were there, but I've seem to have blocked it out of my mind.

Oh yeah...there was a corn maze.
Don't get me started on the corn maze.

But all in all it was a great day in the country.

Looks like fun. We sometimes refer to these outings as forced family togetherness : ) Secretly everyone loves it!

Those raspberries...tell me you did not leave them at the farm. You did not.

We got some...but once we paid for them, they didn't make it to the minivan. The kiddos ate them all ;)
